What’s new at Drillby (Early Access update)
Intro:
A short roundup of what’s changed on the site, in the app, and in our legal pages. Early Access is still early, we’re building with you, and we’ll keep telling you what’s ready versus what’s next.
Landing Page
- Clearer homepage copy so Drillby’s pitch is easier to understand (tutor-first, bring your own students, flat access fee, not a marketplace cut on your lessons).
- Homepage FAQ pricing wording updated so Early Access ($29 one-time) and the later plan names (Part-Time, Full-Time, High-Volume) read more cleanly. Dollar amounts for those later plans are still not public.
- Social proof on the homepage: waitlist interest shown more clearly in the hero.
- Payouts line updated: we now say payouts to 160 countries (was 118).
- Blog has been refreshed (layout, typography, latest posts on the home page). Keep an eye on drillby.com/blog.
- Site polish: faster loading, a proper 404 page, and a tidier footer on mobile.
- Public roadmap stays at ideas.drillby.com, vote and follow what’s shipped vs in progress.
App
- Invite your students is live. You can send invites, connect with students who accept, and resend an invite if someone missed it.
- Home screen is honest about scope: right now the focus is inviting and connecting. Sessions and scheduling are still coming.
- Account page layout is underway for tutors. Billing and plan will show your Early Access plan (the $29 Founding Tutor access you already have). Other settings rows will light up as each piece is ready.
- In-app feedback / chat support continues so you can tell us what’s missing.
Legals
- New Cookie Policy (last updated September 24, 2026): drillby.com/cookies. Plain explanation of sign-in cookies, invites/connections, product usage measurement, chat support, and ads tools on the marketing site only.
- Terms of Service updated (September 23, 2026): drillby.com/terms. Clearer Early Access ($29, refund rules), how class vs platform payments work, and a narrower license for your teaching content (we host it to run the product; we don’t use class content to train general AI models).
- Privacy Policy updated (September 23, 2026): drillby.com/privacy. Aligned with the same story: what we collect, how class content is handled, payments/ID checks via our payment provider (we don’t store card numbers or government IDs), and a pointer to the Cookie Policy.
Closing:
Thanks for being a Founding Tutor. If something feels off or you want a feature sooner, tell us in the app or on the roadmap. Next big product focus remains class scheduling and teaching in Drillby, we’ll announce those when they’re ready to use, not just when the code lands.
